Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the aesthetic appearance of your smile. Many people are unhappy with the appearance of their smile, but are not sure what they need to do to improve it...
Here at Synergy Dental , we offer a wide range of cosmetic dental treatments to suit you and your requirements. Whether you have a particular treatment in mind or are curious about which treatment would be best for you, we invite you to visit our Dental Practice for a free initial cosmetic dental consultation.
Our Smile Makeover service is designed to help you improve the appearance of your smile. This may include the position, shape or colour of your teeth. In many cases, we will use our Digital Smile Design service to show you what results you can expect before starting treatment.
In some cases, just one treatment will be required, while others patients will benefit from combining two or more treatments – invisible orthodontics plus teeth whitening, for example. Once your dentist has discussed the most appropriate treatment options, your treatment co-ordinator will help you to make an informed choice about these options and will be available to discuss every stage of treatment with you.
A safe, effective way to remove stains from teeth, in as little as one hour.
Straighten your teeth quickly and near-invisibly using FastBraces or clear aligners.
The same material used for white fillings can repair cracked, chipped or discoloured teeth, as well as closing gaps and reshaping misaligned teeth for a more uniform smile.
Thin pieces of porcelain attached to the front surface of the front teeth using strong dental adhesive. Veneers can cover permanently stained teeth, teeth with small cracks or chips, minor problems with alignment or gaps.
Tooth-coloured composite material is used to fill teeth, meaning there will be no metal on show when you smile. White fillings can also replace old metal amalgam fillings.
Many adult patients are unhappy with their crooked teeth but believe that they have missed out on their chance of having orthodontics. Others would like to straighten their teeth but are put off by the thought of wearing traditional metal braces that are very obvious and are associated with lengthy treatment times.
At Synergy Dental & Implant Centre we understand that traditional metal braces may not be compatible with adults’ busy personal and professional lives. That’s why we are pleased to offer discreet orthodontics – which move your teeth quickly and near-invisibly – in the form of FastBraces and clear aligners.
When a front tooth is chipped, dental veneers are often used to disguise the damage. This is a quick and easy option to restore your smile. Dental veneers are often thin slivers of porcelain or composite resin material, which is placed over the whole front of your tooth.
Your dentist will prepare your tooth by removing a small amount of enamel, and will take impressions of your tooth, which are sent to the laboratory for your veneers to be made. This can take from one to two weeks. Once your veneer is ready, your dentist will use a special bonding material to fit the veneer to your tooth.
Inlays and onlays are two types of restorations that your dentist can suggest if you have a cavity in your tooth that needs to be filled. An inlay is a small filling that fits into the biting surface of a tooth while an onlay covers a larger area of the tooth and is better suited to bigger cavities.
For many years, gold has been used to make inlays and onlays because it is a hard material and lasts for a long time. Nowadays, tooth-coloured porcelain is also used and gives the restored tooth a more natural look, which many patients prefer.
