new dental patients WELCOME
synergy dental & implant centre, Biddulph
At Synergy Dental & Implant Centre we welcome new patients for general and cosmetic dental treatment, as well as for restorative treatments such as dental implants.
When you contact the Practice to book an appointment you will be offered a free consultation with our Client Care Consultant, who will introduce you to the Dental Practice and can answer many of your questions. They will also send you out a Practice Welcome Pack.
This first meeting will be an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee, during which your Client Care Consultant will help you to complete a medical history form and get to know a bit more about you, including your dental wants and needs. It is important to complete this form fully, because your dentist needs to know about your general and dental health and about any medications you are taking, as this may affect treatment options, anaesthetic and antibiotic use.
Your Client Care Consultant will stay with you during your initial Dental Health Check with your dentist. This is because they need to know details about any treatment required, and to be able to go through the options with you.
The dentist will carefully examine your teeth, gums and surrounding structures, including checking the condition of any existing restorations, such as crowns or fillings. They will also provide oral cancer checks as standard and will evaluate your jaw joint.
X-rays will also be taken to check for:
Decay inside the tooth or between the teeth
Abscess or cysts on the roots of your teeth
At the end of your consultation, the dentist will discuss their findings with you and will provide you with an individualised treatment plan, including all treatment options. Your Client Care Consultant will discuss these options with you so that you can make an informed choice about your care.
Whether you’ve got toothache or a broken filling, we understand that accidents happen. If you're experiencing dental discomfort or have damaged your mouth in an accident, please ring the practice early in the morning on 01782 908 902 and we can arrange a same-day emergency dental appointment for you.
When a dental emergency occurs, it’s important to seek treatment from a qualified dentist. Not only will this increase the chance of saving your tooth (or teeth) but you’ll prevent infections from spreading or becoming more serious.
After your initial consultation with our dentist, you will be provided with a treatment plan if any treatment is required. You will have the opportunity to discuss all the available options with your Client Care Consultant, who will be your first point of contact at all stages of treatment and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Before finalising a treatment plan, we will give you time to think through your options, having provided you with enough information to make an informed choice about your treatment. Your Client Care Consultant will arrange a treatment options meeting about a week after your first appointment.
At your treatment options meeting, your dentist will go through your treatment plan and will be available to answer any clinical questions you may have. You’ll then be left in the care of your Client Care Consultant, who can recap treatment options if necessary.
We will also discuss fees and payment options, including the option to join our practice club membership - offering a wide range of benefits, including worldwide emergency cover and free treatment for children up to the age of four.
Your Client Care Consultant will also go through all the necessary consents for treatment and will discuss the timescale of your treatment plan. They will then book in all necessary appointments to complete treatment. We always strive to arrange appointments at the most convenient time for you.
