When you contact Synergy Dental as a new patient, you will be offered a free consultation with our Treatment Coordinator, who will introduce you our Dental Practice and answer any questions you may have, we will also send you a Practice Welcome Pack.
Our first meeting will be an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee, during which your Treatment Coordinator will help you to complete a medical history form and get to know a bit more about you, including your dental needs and desires. It is important to complete this form fully, because your dentist needs to know about your general and dental health and about any medications you are taking, as this may affect treatment options, anaesthetic and antibiotic use.
All new patients will benefit from our comprehensive New Patient Complete Care Assessment.
This consists of 3 appointments
We always recommend that ongoing care is managed via our Practice Membership Scheme which entitles you to a range of Membership Privileges including access to our exclusive member-only fees, priority appointments and worldwide emergency and trauma assistance.
After your initial dental and gum assessment, you will be provided with a treatment plan if any treatment is required. You will have the opportunity to discuss all the available options with your Treatment Coordinator, who will be your first point of contact at all stages of treatment and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Before finalising a treatment plan, we will give you time to think through your options, having provided you with enough information to make an informed choice about your treatment. Your Treatment Coordinator will arrange a treatment options meeting about a week after your first appointment.
At your treatment options meeting, your dentist will go through your treatment plan and will be available to answer any clinical questions you may have. You’ll then be left in the care of your Treatment Coordinator, who can recap treatment options if necessary.
We will also discuss fees and payment options, including the option to join our practice club membership - offering a wide range of benefits, including worldwide emergency cover and free treatment for children up to the age of four.
Your Treatment Coordinator will also go through all the necessary consents for treatment and will discuss the timescale of your treatment plan. They will then book in all necessary appointments to complete treatment. We always strive to arrange appointments at the most convenient time for you.
We have wheelchair access to the building; a downstairs surgery which (although it has two steps into it) we are able to manoeuvre a wheelchair into; the downstairs surgery has a chair which can be adapted to be used with a wheelchair, which means that patients can be treated more comfortably whilst remaining in their wheelchair. We also have a downstairs 3D Scanning and 2D Panoral X-ray (OPG) Suite. We do not however have a downstairs patient toilet.
